WHO WE ARE

About Us

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER UNIVERSITY

The establishment of Christopher University was inspired by the need to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Its promoter, Translucent Management Services, had extensive experience building strong partnerships between the private sector and academic institutions, particularly in capacity building and management training.

This experience informed the vision of establishing a university with a strong emphasis on management sciences, industry collaboration, professional development, and practical learning. The University was conceived to develop programmes that respond to the current and emerging manpower needs of both the corporate and public sectors.

The establishment of Christopher University was also driven by the growing demand for quality university education in Nigeria and the need to expand access to higher education. Strategically located close to Lagos, Nigeria’s major commercial and industrial hub, the University seeks to prepare graduates with the knowledge, skills, competencies, and professional values required to excel in their chosen fields and contribute meaningfully to national and global development.

The University’s establishment was initially guided by a Planning and Implementation Committee (PIC) comprising individuals with diverse expertise and experience. Today, the governance and administration of the University are carried out through its established structures, including the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, and Management, under the oversight of the Chancellor, who also serves as the Visitor.
